The Card Room

Cards belong around a real table.

Northwood Table's poker experience is designed around in-person social play at physical tables. No screens, no online lobbies—just a deck, a dealer, and the room around you.

In-Person Play Only

Every hand is dealt at a physical table, face to face.

Northwood Table hosts Texas Hold'em in a dedicated card room that feels like a private club within the restaurant. There is no online poker, no virtual chips, and no gambling accounts—just real cards, real chips, and real conversation.

Guests gather around long timber tables, share stories between hands, and enjoy the restaurant's food and drink service. The pace is unhurried, and the atmosphere is warm and convivial—more like a dinner party with cards than a high-stakes tournament.

Poker here is about the table, not the screen.

The Game

Texas Hold'em at Northwood Table

Texas Hold'em is a community-card poker game where players combine their hole cards with shared table cards. Each player receives two private cards, and five community cards are dealt face up in three stages: the flop, the turn, and the river. Players make their best five-card hand using any combination of their hole cards and the community cards. Betting rounds occur before the flop and after each community card stage.

  1. Hole cards: Each player receives two private cards.
  2. The flop: Three community cards are dealt face up.
  3. The turn: A fourth community card is dealt.
  4. The river: A fifth and final community card is dealt.
  5. Showdown: Remaining players reveal their hands; the best five-card hand wins.

Dealer-Led Tables

Every table is led by a professional dealer who manages the action and keeps the game moving. Dealers shuffle, deal, and oversee betting, ensuring fair play and a relaxed pace. First-time guests can ask the dealer for clarification at any time; no prior experience is required.

First-time guests: New to poker? Northwood Table is a welcoming place to learn. Table nights are designed to be inclusive, with dealers and hosts happy to explain the rules. Guests can observe a few hands before joining, and there is no pressure to play aggressively.
