The Basics

How Table Nights Work

Physical, not virtual

Every Table Night happens at Northwood Table, in our dedicated card room. You sit at a real table, with real cards, a professional dealer, and other guests. There is no online play, no screens, and no virtual chips. The room is quiet and timber-lined, the lighting is warm, and the pace is relaxed enough to enjoy a proper drink while you play.

A fixed schedule

We publish our Table Nights in advance, so you can plan ahead. Each event has a set date, start time, format, buy-in, and starting stack. The schedule below is updated regularly, and any changes are confirmed with registered guests before the night begins.

Request a seat

To join a Table Night, you request a seat through our form. This is a request for attendance only — we do not process payments or buy-ins online. Our team will confirm your seat by email or phone, and you settle your buy-in in person at the venue.

Event Formats Explained

Tournaments

In a tournament, everyone pays the same buy-in and receives the same starting stack. Blinds increase on a schedule, and play continues until one player has all the chips. Prizes are awarded based on finishing position. The fixed buy-in and defined blind structure make tournaments easy to plan around, and the schedule lists the exact starting stack for each event.

Cash Games

In a cash game, chips represent real money and you can join or leave at any time. The buy-in range is flexible, and there are no increasing blinds. It is a more relaxed, social format. You can arrive after dinner, play a few orbits, and leave whenever you like. The schedule lists the minimum and maximum buy-in for each cash game.

The Space

The Card Room

Our card room is a quiet, timber-lined space off the main dining room. It seats up to 24 players across three tables, with a dedicated bar for whisky and cocktails. The lighting is warm, the chairs are comfortable, and the felt is a deep forest green — the only green you will find here. A stone fireplace anchors one wall, and the room carries the same pine and oak notes as the rest of the restaurant, so the transition from dinner to cards feels natural rather than theatrical.
